Danie (Daniel) is a South African leadership coach, based in Cape Town. In his work as an organizational development consultant, he has witnessed both the brilliance and destructiveness of the alpha personality in action and his work increasingly gravitates toward supporting both alpha males and alpha females in learning to leverage their strengths while minimizing the risks of their style.

Danie has provided executive coaching to clients in various industries, including financial services, HIV vaccine research and entrepreneurial job creation. Drawing on his solid business background and training, he uses consulting techniques to help leaders understand their strengths as well as their risks, and the impact of both in an organizational context. In partnership with the client, Danie designs an individualized development plan that forms the basis of further coaching.

He holds a law degree from the University of Potchefstroom (BComm LLB) and University of South Africa (LLM). He has an MBA from the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business, and also completed studies at the University of Washington GSB, Seattle.

Danie is an accomplished photographer, enthusiastic traveler, keen chef and avid wine lover, and has completed six Cape Argus Cycle races.
